At Living Roots we follow the Wholistic Model of Health which means that we understand that wellness and healing must address mind, body, spirit and emotions if it is to be successful. We help the body to be healthy through eating organically and ethically grown foods, doing physical labor, practicing yoga and dance, and through massage. The mind is supported by engaging in expansive learning opportunities and embracing personal creativity. Our spirits are nourished through offering regular meditation, yoga and time with nature.
Currently, there are weekly healing arts classes free to all staff residents. They include Wednesday morning yoga and/or Thai massage and Thursday evening massage (Swedish/Esalan styly and more) training and trades.
